Economy? What Economy?

So far, I hear every day about how bad everything is on the news.
So I’ve decided to turn off the news.

Stick you head in the sand you say?
Not really.

I just want to learn a few things from Miss Kitty who seems to have no worries, except the frequent filling of the food dish.
The constant wringing of my hands together gets me nowhere, except rough, dry, skin.

My ten top reasons to be optimistic
1. I have a new book coming out in April.
2. My new 6″ template will arrive next week.
3. I have three new patterns to be released in May.
4. I have a new grand baby on the way.
5. I still have all of my teeth.
6. My husband loves me.
7. By the looks of my midsection, I have plenty of food in the feeding dish.
8. I have new warm boots to keep my toes warm.
9. I have a dog who thinks I am the queen.
10. We have lots of snow for skiing.

I could mention a lot of stuff on how to save money but Maria Peagler in her post 10 Ways I budget for Quilting, has done such a good job there is no sense repeating what she has said so well.
Check out her post.

My family is working through Dave Ramsey’s financial information. I love his book Total Money Makeover. We read it a few years back and got completely out of debt except for our house payment. I feel guilty for falling off the wagon but I am ready to tighten up our belts and start saving and have planned spending program. I agree with Maria that I will keep quilting in my budget.

  1. Hi Elisa –

Glad you enjoyed the Top Ten list! I can’t wait to see your beautiful book coming out in April. Now how did I know it would be so beautiful? Because our favorite graphic designer is working on it!! She’s awesome! And *love* your gratitude list. It really does change our outlook, doesn’t it?

  2. I love your templates! I have made 2 quilts from the large crazy curves and have at least one or two of your books. I love to watch you on QNN also, but wished they had some new videos of you.
Dave Ramsey…just finished a class in our sunday school class…and he is just great!
Thanks for your super lessons and techniques…love it! Blessings.
