It is official. I will be going to Paducah next month.

I have never been to this Mecca for quilters. I look forward to seeing what it is all about.

A visit to the National Quilt Museum will be one of the highlights of my trip.

I will, of course, be working, demonstrating and sewing. No vacation time for me. If you are fortunate enough to be going then please stop by and say hello. See what I do and hear my spiel and bring me refreshments. I am sure that I will need them.

I will be working with Murray’s Sewing Center. I can’t give you directions because I have never been there.

But it is in a building (obviously) and I think she said it is across the street from the museum. Brenda, from Murray’s, said it is in this location every year.

This is what my dog, Goldie will be doing while I am gone.

She will miss me terribly.

I couldn’t wait to share with you this beautiful quilt.

It is my Fan Dance pattern but the color choices are spectacular.

This quilt was made by Mary Chin.

The color choices make the fans pop off of the quilt so that it looks 3-D. The quilt actually uses paper piecing to make the fans and then my 8″ Rainbow template to cut out the rest.

Here is a picture of the quilt after it has been quilted and bound.

I love it!

Thanks Mary for sharing.

Browsing the web I found my Turtle Party! pattern and quilt on a blog written in spanish. My turtles have made it to Spain!

Susanpatch.blogspot
It was so cute to see tortuga means turtle.

My spanish is a but rusty but I do see that she said “Me gustó muchísimo” which means that she likes it very much.
And that I am “muy famosas en USA” along with Eleanor Burnes. I gotta love it!

She probably saw this pattern demonstrated on Quilters TV or QNNtv.com

I can’t read everything she says but I hope it is good, and her turtle quilt looks great by the way.
