I haven’t had a chance to do much sewing lately so it felt nice to have this little project completed.

The pattern is a basic pillow case pattern. I have a version of it in my Crazy Curves Continues book.
I made just a slight modification to the accent fabric, making it just a bit wider.

I made the quilt about a year ago and saved the leftover fabric to make the pillow cases.

Finally getting around to it, I realized that I didn’t have enough fabric to make two pillow cases that are the same color.
I like the eclectic look so this worked out just fine.

Then I realized that I didn’t have the correct width of one of the fabrics so I pieced it together.

This pillow case is for decorative use so I don’t think adding the seams will matter very much. I pressed the seams open so they lay flat.

This is how they look on the bed.

It was nice to finally have this project completed.

Here is another angle.

This is a very quick project that you can complete in no time at all.

It only took me one year and 45 minutes to get mine done.

No quilting is going on around here.

I did manage to do something with fabric though.

I have had this scarf kit for quite awhile and decided that even though it was summer…

and even though I had a zillion things to do…

I needed to knit this scarf…

and it does use fabric.

It is made with thin strips of batik fabric.

I used a large set of knitting needles and whipped this up in just a couple hours.

Here is another way to wear it.

This will come in handy this winter to keep me warm.

Of course I won’t be wearing the tank top!
