International Spring Quilt Market was in Pittsburgh this year. A great time was had by all.
I did not get as exhausted as I have at previous markets. For one I had a stool to sit on while I did my sewing demonstrations. (novel idea)
And two, I did not walk around as much. I was so busy in my booth that I did not get much of a chance to look around at all of the other fabulous booths.
My friend La Donna – who used to live in Albuquerque near me, but now lives in Virginia – came to help me.
She is not a quilter but a knitter so she was lost in the strange vocabulary of charm packs, layer cakes, fat quarters and fussy cuts.
I enjoyed having her help us at the show and we were able to catch up on the last couple of years of being apart. We then went to Virginia to visit her family for a week. More on that in a later post.
I also have a quilt that I made for her that is in my new book, Crazy Curves Continues.
The quilt is called La Donna’s Trip because I finished it right before I left Albuquerque and gave it to her. It is a trip around the world pattern. La Donna’s trip – get it?
Anyways. The book is now available on my website so rush over and get your copy.
I am happy to be back home and ready to settle down for a Montana summer now that the rush of market is over.
Happy Quilting!
